Company News : Practitioner Focus – Dr. Victoria Zupa, N.D.
Posted by carbonbased on 2004/3/18 9:16:26 (4574 reads)

Starting this month, we will be writing about health care practitioners around North America who are familiar with Carbon Based Corporation’s CellMate Wellness Reports™. Our first practitioner, Dr. Victoria Zupa, has been working with us for over 7 years now and has an excellent knowledge of how our reports work. She is located in Darien, Connecticut and can be reached at 203-656-4300.

Dr. Victoria Zupa, a Naturopathic physician, offers an integrated holistic and traditional medicine approach to healing disease and promoting wellness through state-of-the-art, non-protocol, individualized medicine. She does this through a biofeedback-enhanced physical exam, tapping into the body's innate healing wisdom. In this way, a road map can be constructed for each individual's healing journey. This allows her to determine treatment priorities that are specific to each patient.

With an exceptional commitment to thoroughness and quality of care, Dr. Zupa helps her patients find the underlying immunologic metabolic/nutritional and emotional roots to their disease. She emphasizes natural approaches, which are very safe and at the same time very powerful. The doctor's diagnostic and treatment modalities include: homeopathy, herbology (botanical medicine), nutrition, counseling, neural kinesiology, Dr. Nambudripad's allergy elimination technique (NAET), neural therapy without needles, cranial sacral therapy, biovibrational healing, electrodermal screening, environmental medicine and biological terrain analysis. Naturopathic Medicine is a highly systematic method of therapy, based on stimulating the body's innate healing mechanisms. By using it, the body's defense mechanism and vital force will become strengthened and nurtured, to enable the body to overcome its symptoms of disease. Dr. Zupa sees all ages - pediatrics to geriatrics - and addresses a wide range of acute and chronic disorders including Vulvodynia. Her post-graduate training, studying with many noted European physicians, has enabled her to help patients with Vulvodynia and other chronic conditions where standard medical and naturopathic treatments have failed. She believes that the self-awareness acquired from her kind of holistic and natural treatments and education can facilitate ones own creative healing process.

What is quite impressive about Dr. Zupa is her mission statement, which reads: “…the manifestation of a long-held vision of a comprehensive health care facility which provides state-of-the-art holistic care. Optimal health is abundant wellness - physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, social, environmental - a dynamic journey requiring a multidisciplinary approach. Each discipline makes its own unique contribution towards the optimal health of every individual. At the Center for Optimum Health we are committed to the pursuit of this goal.”
